Folk Fusion
Join us for a workshop exploring Indian folk dance! Learn about the cultural significance, teamwork, and dynamic formations. Participants will work in teams to create and perform a lively group dance. Long, flowy skirts are recommended; extras will be available if needed.
Mujra
Mujra is a graceful dance form from the Mughal era, blending Kathak, music, and Urdu poetry. In this workshop, participants will explore its expressions, movements, and cultural significance, while learning a choreographed routine.
Lavani
Lavani, a lively folk dance from Maharashtra, features energetic movements. Originally for boosting soldier morale, it now thrives in celebrations and films. In this workshop, attendees will learn its rhythm, cultural significance, and a choreographed routine.
Bhangra

Indian Fusion Bellydance
Join this Indian Fusion Bellydance workshop, where traditional Indian dance meets the fluidity of bellydance, creating a unique, expressive style.
You’ll explore key movements, from isolations to shimmies, and discover how Indian dance elements blend with bellydance. The workshop includes a choreographed routine and helps you interpret the music through movement.
Jhoomar

Semi-classical (Kathak)
In this Semi-Classical dance workshop, you’ll experience a fusion of Kathak and Bollywood dance. Learn the key hand movements and footwork of Kathak, embracing its grace and precision. The workshop will end with a choreographed routine, allowing you to express yourself through this unique blend of styles.
Kalbeliya
Kalbeliya is a lively gypsy folk dance from Rajasthan, performed by the snake charmer community. Known for sensual undulations and fiery twirls, it reflects the free spirit of the desert. Recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage, it’s a source of pride for the Kalbeliya community. In this workshop, you'll experience the vibrant movements of Kalbeliya and connect with Rajasthan’s gypsy tradition.
Semi-classical (Bharatanatyam)
